Max:
A 12 year old Sheltie male, neutered, he was brought to the Lexington Humane Society
as a stray. Max was found with dew claws so long that one of them had grown
around and embedded itself into his skin. His coat was so matted he had to be
shaved. He had arthritis in his front legs so badly that he was unable to
negotiate stairs, even on cortisone. Max was a great guy that had lots of love
to share. He got along well with other pets and small children. Max passed away in loving arms. He will be remembered. |

Lucky, you were my first Rescue.
When I first saw you I thought you looked like a little red fox. Your big
brown eyes were like a lure. To anyone who looked into them they were
hooked. You loved unconditionally and never once complained when you were
the last one to get a treat. Our lives seemed complete only because you
were in it. Now something is missing. And I know I cannot bring you back.
Dylan is calling out to you and he wonders why you won't come to him. How
do I tell him his "Gucky" is gone? Every time I think of you my
heart aches and I start to cry and I want to hold you so. You will always
hold a very special place in my heart. And I know one day we will be
together again. Lucky, sweet boy, that day will come soon. Just wait for me
at the gates of the Bridge. I want to give a special thanks to Teresa and MaryJo for letting this sweet boy come into my life. I know because of you
both Lucky lived out the last months of his life with a family who loved
him. Lucky was truly a "One of a Kind". He will be truly missed
by his forever foster family. We know that his Bright Spirit will be with
us for the rest of our lives. Lots of kisses and hugs Lucky Dog!!!! We Love You, Mommy, Daddy, Dylan, and your whole Sheltie Family (Jason & Traci) |

Christine's Toby |
| Toby passed away after suffering liver failure. I acquired Toby as a puppy shortly after my wife died. Since then for 11 1/2 years he was very dear to my heart and my life. Now as I walk around my home I see reminders of him and sometimes need to be careful, thinking he is still close and underfoot. Although Toby is gone, he is still in my fondest memories and in my heart. Al Duthie - Henderson, KY |
